A signed liability waiver will need to be shipped with the artwork and brought with the art. However, if an out of town artist would like to arrange shipment to someone they know local to Houston, that person can bring the art to drop off. In 2017, the curator and IMAGO will not handle receipt and return shipment of artwork submitted by out of town artists. Artists will be required to sign a liability release upon art drop off. Notifications of acceptance will be emailed by March 12th, and selected art work will need to be hand delivered on March 29 th. The jury and curator reserve all rights to accept or decline artwork submitted. The show will be juried, and pieces will be accepted on basis of adherence to the theme of the show, appropriateness for church venue, size and space availability. The Submission deadline is February 26th, 2017 at 11:59PM central standard time. NO late submissions will be accepted. Artwork should be less than 8 ft tall x 8 ft wide and fit through the double doors at the entry of the church. Each statement has a 2000 character maximum (about 300 words). Please note that an Artist Statement for each piece and how it relates to the theme will be required with each submission. Be warned, if an error occurs while submitting your entry, all text data will be lost and you must start the form over (therefore, copy and paste text from another document) Images should be in JPG format, not larger than 2.5 MB & files should be labeledĪrtist last name _ Artist first name – Art work # (ie: Smith_John-1.jpg).
